The Following are people and places that I want to support and in turn support me. If you are looking for a TaKeTiNa Facilitator in your area or a cool space in Portland check them out.

People:

  • Dave Chiller: (Corvallis, OR) Drum Teacher and TaKeTiNa Facilitator. A great colleague, musician and person.
  • Naomi Khan: (Salem, OR) Visionary, guide, ceremony maker and crone. Naomi’s gifts are countless. She even does TaKeTiNa along with many of those things.
  • Robert Madda: (Portland, OR) Robert and I started TaKeTiNa Saturdays together back in 2010. TaKeTiNa Facilitator anda  practicing Naturopathic Doctor! Go Robert!
  • Zorina Wolf: (Sequim, WA) without this woman TaKeTiNa in the US may not even be a thing. She wrote the book Whole Person Drumming. A great place to start or deepen any drummers journey. She also leads TaKeTiNa of course.
  • Deborah Masterson: (Hawaii, all of it) She is doing great things in Hawaii and the contingent 48. Looking forward to getting to do some TaKeTiNa with her in Hawaii one day and you should too!
  • Shasta Martinuk: (Canada, All of it too. Okay, Mostly BC.) Rhythm and music are a passion for Shasta in a way I adore. She will enliven you with that passion if you end up in a class with her.

Places:

  • New Expressive Works: This is our newest home for Community Rhythm works. Very excited to be here and back to offering open groups.
  • People’s Food Co-op: Past home of weekly TaKeTiNas, and home to great produce and a farmers’ market every Wednesday night!
  • Vancouver Wellness Studio: Another bygone home of TaKeTiNa Saturdays. Also, a great place for holistic care and wellness.
  • Yoga Refuge: Held my first 3-day workshop here and have been a fan ever since.
  • WellSpring Spa: Home of the Spring Wellness Retreat. Open year round with comfy cabins and near by trails.
