Destabilization

with No Comments

Hello Friends,

Destabilization. It is not a word that we use every day. When I hear it I still have a gut reaction that says to me “Bad”. However, if we want to grow, change, deepen or understand of something, often we experience destabilization along the way.balancing

In TaKeTiNa we play with the edges of stable. Step, Clap, Sing. It feels good. All is under control. Then, the call changes, our brains freak out, our claps go a just a little haywire, our feet do their best to keep the flow and we realize that we forgot every word of the call before we even started responding. Breathe, Step, Clap, Sing. It all comes back. When this happens the rhythm is deeper in the body. We get to experience destabilization as play, instead of a life or death situation. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. So come, play, step, clap, sing, destabilize, stabilize, connect, laugh, groove.

If you get a little destabilized bring it to the rhythm and see what you can do with it!

Peace,
Jacob
